COMMUNITY SERVICE
The Kansas State Grange Community Service Program aims to inspire participation in community service projects by providing resources and reporting tools. We promote collaboration and idea-sharing while recognizing the contributions of both Grange members and non-members who make a positive impact in their communities, state, nation, and beyond.
"I always wondered why somebody didn't do something about that. Then I realized I was somebody." — Lily Tomlin

LECTURER
The Lecturer is an elected office of the Grange and sometimes referred to as the Program Director. Their role is to plan programs containing educational, inspirational, entertaining, musical, and recreational components at Grange meetings and other events.
The Lecturer also conducts contests that provide members the opportunity to express their ideas, thoughts, and talents, as well as develop their leadership potential.

LEGISLATIVE
For nearly 150 years, the Grange has improved the lives of Rural Americans. Our Legislative Department advocates for farmers, ranchers, and rural residents, ensuring they have the resources needed to thrive in a changing economy. The Grange is committed to maintaining the U.S. as the leader in food safety and abundance while addressing critical issues like Rural Broadband, Healthcare, Postal Reform, and Agricultural Education.
As a nonpartisan grassroots organization since 1867, Grange policy originates in our 2,100 local chapters and advances to the National level, where our Legislative Department works to implement these goals in Washington, DC.

GRANGE YOUTH
Full voting membership in the Grange begins at age 14, and youth members are never separated from the larger organization. Grange Youth have the opportunity to hold office and vote on all issues.
In addition to full membership, the Grange offers programs for members aged 14-20 (Youth) and 21-30 (Young Adults). Kansas recognizes members up to age 35 as part of the Young Adult program. These programs and contests promote leadership development, public speaking, personal growth, community service, and education.
