Since 1952, the Kansas State Grange has honored individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions to agriculture through the Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award. This nomination form, updated in 2015, allows for recognizing a wide range of recipients, including farmers, ranchers, legislative leaders, media, businesses, and educators. The award is given only once for the same nomination, but nominees not selected can be re-nominated in the future.

Whether for lifelong commitment or a specific project, this award recognizes tireless efforts. Approved by the State Executive Board in 2015, it can be awarded to multiple recipients, such as co-chairpersons or couples. Distinguished Grange Information & Application
Launched in 2009, the Distinguished Grange Program recognizes Granges that successfully fulfill their service and advocacy missions while supporting their members and communities. We encourage every Grange to complete as many program requirements and optional components as possible, improving their achievements each year. This commitment not only leads to recognition but also strengthens their presence in the community and enhances the experience for their members.
Grange Foundation
1 in 1000 Club
The 1 in 1,000 Club offers a limited 1,000 lifetime memberships for a one-time fee of $1,000. All funds raised support the Grange. Members may pledge to reserve a spot, but will only receive a membership number after full payment. Membership is available for individuals and groups, but not couples or families. Established Groups and local or State Granges can join under special conditions.
When a member passes away, the membership may be transferred to a designated individual for a renewal fee of $1,000. If not renewed, it goes to the next person on the waiting list. Members receive a special pin, certificate, and invitations to exclusive events throughout the year and during the National Convention.
Heirloom Program
The Heirloom Program was created to keep the Grange’s 150-year legacy and its cornerstone documents alive and accessible. Each month, Granges can share a quote or passage from foundational texts, reflecting on its lessons about work, family, and daily life. These lessons spark discussion, inspire activities, and foster community connections. Visual aids like posters and social media graphics also help spread these important lessons.
